Course Content

Chapter 1: Parts of Speech
In this chapter, you will learn the fundamental parts of speech in English, including nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections. You will learn how to identify each part of speech and understand its role within a sentence. Chapter 2: Parts of a Sentence
Parts of a Sentence introduces the basic elements that make up a complete sentence. It focuses on the subject and predicate and explains how each part functions to express a complete thought. The chapter also covers simple and complete subjects and predicates, compound subjects and predicates, and complements, helping students understand how different words and phrases work together to complete the meaning of a sentence and communicate ideas clearly and correctly.

Chapter 3:The Phrase
In this chapter, students will learn how to identify and understand phrases, groups of words that work together as a unit but do not contain both a subject and a verb. They will study different types of phrases, including prepositional, participial, gerund, infinitive, and appositive phrases, and learn how each functions within a sentence. Students will also learn to identify the grammatical role of a phrase, such as a noun, adjective, or adverb, and understand how phrases add detail and meaning to sentences.
